Name: Blaze
Breed: Quarter horse
Age: 11 years
Sex: Gelding
Hands: 15.3
Color: Bay with white markings
Undersaddle: YES
Level: intermediate rider
Blaze is even more handsome with his “summer coat”. Blaze came to Grace from Lake County Animal Control. He was part of an animal cruelty case. Blaze is a very sweet and willing guy who would do best with an intermediate rider. He is a very cute mover.

Name: Secret
Breed: Thoroughbred
Age: Late Teens
Sex: Mare
Hands: 15.3
Color: Dark Bay
Undersaddle: YES
Level: intermediate rider
Secret was found “at large" (stray) in Sacramento County. She was over 200 pounds underweight when she arrived. Our youth volunteers took a quick interest in her and it did not take long before she was a project horse for our youth program, including the riding program. Secret loves attention and is very willing to please. She loves her pasture friends and would do great as a companion pasture friend.

Name: Valentine
Breed: Quarter Horse
Age: Late Teens
Sex: Gelding
Hands: 15.1
Color: Chestnut with white markings.
Undersaddle: YES
Level: Beginner/intermediate rider
Valentine arrived at Grace on Valentine’s day, 2011 from El Dorado County Animal Control. Valentine had been tied to a horse trailer and abandoned. Valentine was blind in one eye from an injury and the eye was still terribly infected when he arrived. To save valentine, his eye had to be removed. Despite all that Valentine had been through he proved to be one of the sweetest and best mannered horses and still is today. It is clear that Valentine has a great deal of riding experience. He knows his cues and neck reins very well. Valentine would be best used as a light riding pleasure horse.
